Daniel Lamarre, CEO of Cirque du Soleil just announced that the company is increasing their resources within the next 5 years with an increase of show from 18 to at least 25.
With a new show to open in New York as a permanent residency, the company is now looking at having more than one show running in different cities. Therefore, ‘O’, ‘Michael Jackson One’, ‘The Beatles Love’ and ‘KA’, all very successful in Las Vegas, could be produced in other countries!
The Cirque du Soleil targets are China, New York and London but would love to add Dubai, Mexico and Hawaii!
Few of the partners are confident to what they have been presented with and mostly feasible and within 5 years, Cirque should have 2 permanent shows in China with few tours.
Broadway is also on the radar of the multi-million company and are trying to get on the market with ‘Paramour’, especially after few failures in 2009.
For MJ fans around the world, this is a great news and hoping to at least see ‘Michael Jackson One’ to be in Europe at some point soon! This has still to be confirmed by Cirque du Soleil.
