Grammy Award-winning hip-hop artist Chris Brown delivered a full-concert performance Saturday night — Halloween — titled “Thriller,” presented by legendary music producer Quincy Jones and Drai’s Live, at a jam-packed Drai’s Nightclub atop the Cromwell.
The resident artist took the rooftop venue by storm with an hourlong performance complete with his rendition of the late Michael Jackson’s iconic hit “Thriller,” along with his own hits “Ayo” and “Deuces,” both with Tyga.
During his set, Brown took a moment to recognize Jones, who was watching the performance stage-side.
“I wouldn’t be where I am today without Quincy Jones,” Brown said. “Thank you, Quincy, for everything!”
Jones, whose visit was hosted by the Cromwell, dined at star chef Giada De Laurentiis’ Giada with Drai’s Nightclub + Beachclub owner Victor Drai before Brown’s performance.
Upon arrival, Brown donned a werewolf costume, similar to the one in the classic “Thriller” music video, for photographs on the red carpet. Post-show, Brown and Jones met backstage for a photograph and to exchange words of appreciation.
