DUST off your blue suede shoes and get your white glove ready because Viva Surfers Paradise is back.
For the first time, the annual event which honours Elvis Presley, is celebrating all legends of music including Michael Jackson, ABBA and Queen.
Little Valentino King, an eight-year-old Michael Jackson impersonator from Helensvale, said he couldn’t wait to take the stage this weekend.
“I’ve been dancing to Michael Jackson for two or three years … I just started copying videos, nobody taught me,” Valentino said.
“My favourite songs would have to be Dangerous or In the Closet.”
Valentino danced his way into the hearts of event organisers, according to proud father Jerome.
“He danced at a school talent quest and then he was in a dancing competition where a man from Viva Surfers Paradise saw him and asked if he wanted to dance in the show,” Mr King said.
“He’s really looking forward to performing … he’ll have three teen girls dancing behind him but he will be front and centre.”
Throughout Surfers Paradise, traders will dress in retro themes and deck shopfronts in vintage memorabilia.
To join in on the fun, shake, rattle and roll your way down to Surfers Paradise this weekend starting from 10am on both days.
