Say what? That’s right! A project came to life mixing J Dilla (for those who don’t know, James Dewitt Yancey of his real name, was an American record producer and rapper who gain fame in the mid 90s and who died in 2006) and Michael Jackson (I will not introduce the King of Pop no more LOL).
This project came from DJ J-Rocc who Dj-ed and produced the (digital) album which is in constant growth as J-Rocc will keep adding tracks to the album.
If you are like me, not too much of a fan of the title of the album “Share My Bed” but J-Rocc explained that J-Dilla once said he wanted an album called this and for the cover he wanted to be dressed as Michael Jackson in “Thriller”. [Still don’t like it]
Any how, So far 8 mixes are available mixing both men’s vocals (mainly Michael’s song with J-D’s vocals interjected in) which includes “Butterflies”, “Remember The Time”, “Another Part Of Me”, “Beat It”, “Dangerous”, “In The Closet”, “Money”, “Black or White”, “Wanna’ Be Startin’ Somethin'” and “They Don’t Care About Us”
Have a listen HERE below and let us know if you like the project/mixes?
