New documentary: ‘Last Days of Michael Jackson’

If you cannot deal with June 25, the pictures, the videos and so on like me, then this article and video are not for you…

ABC has unveiled the new trailer for its upcoming documentary, The Last Days of Michael Jackson. The two-hour special features never-before-seen interviews with the late singer conducted by ABC News anchors Barbara Walters and Diane Sawyer.

The documentary traces Jackson’s rise as the King of Pop, from growing up in Gary, Indiana, and his Jackson 5 days through to his comeback concerts and untimely death. The clip opens with a montage of Jackson’s fast-paced life, with footage of him onstage and being hounded by paparazzi. “The star needs some space, give him a chance to relax,” Jackson says. “He has a heart. He is human. Let him have a bed, a pillow. What more can I give?”

Later, he alludes to the increasing pressure he was under. “People expect more and more because once it’s done, it is immortal,” he says. “You can’t go back.”
The clip includes his sister Janet Jackson reflecting on the loss of her brother. Others in his circle also discuss the drugs that were administered to the singer leading up to his final days.

The Last Days of Michael Jackson will air on May 24th.

  1. Every June or August we get stuff like this. Why can’t we focus on the positive – his hard work and perfectionism and all the people in the industry today who he inspired – all the charities he supported, and the great moments he gave us, even at the last rehearsal. ‘The Last Days…’ sounds like so many of the unofficial docos already produced to capitalise on the public’s fascination which someone still promoted by the media as ‘a freak show’. Programs like this usually do little to educate the ignorant about Michael. Shame.

    • I agree. As a writer and ownerbif a publishing company, I am seriously considering doing a document about the Michael Jackson, how his music inspired so many oeoole, the love of his loyal and devoted fans around the world, his many charitable donations, his achievements, his unmatched talent, his rised to fame, his life as a child before he signed with Motown Records and the people who took advantage of his kindness.

    • Because this year 2018 is when the Beatle copyrights come back on October 9th and Jackson did something bad with them. It is all leading up to a HUGE scandal that is finally going to come out. Paul McCartney and Yoko Ono are involved but they are going to say Michael Jackson is the one to blame. Michael Jackson took part in Will fraud but Mccartney and Ono were the architects of this. I also believe that there might be new revelations of who really killed him.

  2. I agree, to me it’s just more sadness that hits me. Don’t need to see how he died, it rips up old wounds. And his music and creativity should be remembered, not how he died.

  3. Even though this documentary may share some of the darkness about our MJ, I do believe it is relevant to learn the humanity of MJ and how the choices that surrounded his life shattered him. I also believe it is important for the viewer to leave with an understanding MJ’s passion to want to live a normal life as a human even though he’s King of Music as the greatest entertainer in the world. Sometimes even kings need exile to redefine their truly divine purpose. MJ, we the fans love you AND we do hope you are truly blessed😍
