Today, Michael’s incredible album ‘Invincible’ was released around the world giving us a brand new sound from the King of Pop. The album hit the number 1 spot in 12 countries including the U.S and the U.K.

I remember getting Invincible and selecting the White/Silver one as I thought this would be the most rare (how wrong I was.) I borrowed my mum’s boom box so I could play it and I played You Rock My World on loop first as it was the song I knew.
Finally I played the album from the beginning and was simply blown away. I’ll never forget the first time hearing Unbreakable and how infectious that beat was, then going in to Heartbreaker… I remember thinking how different this direction was for Michael.
My personal highlights were/are – Unbreakable, Heaven Can Wait, Don’t Walk Away, Whatever Happens and Threatened.
I was going thru a difficult personal time when this album was released. The songs are so beautiful. Was like he had written some for me. Still, to this day it is one of my ultimate favorite albums. It was exciting to collect all of the cover colors! I loved the cover art too, his face, and the colours. A very special album, for sure. I listened and used ‘Don’t Walk Away’ like therapy at the time. Now-a-days it feels good to listen to that song. Love the album!
