If you recall our Opinion Piece on how the future of fandom will be carried within the digital world of the metaverse, well, we didn’t have to wait long before one metaverse world will come to fruition.
This comes as NFT Naruto Art Museum, a Japanese museum and NFT project, has signed an exclusive deal with The Jackson Family Foundation Japan. This new partnership will see the latter getting exclusive rights to MJWWT “Michael Jackson Wonder World Toys”.
NFT Naruto Museum
Japan is an art museum operated by the NFT Naruto Museum of Art, which was established to spread the use of NFT in Japan for art and artworks, in Naruto City, Tokushima Prefecture. The Naruto Museum of Art provides an NFT marketplace where NFTs can be issued, judged, sold (primary sales) and distributed (secondary sales) for art and works of art. This is the first time in Japan that an art museum specializing in the sale and distribution of NFTs has been established.
Jackson Family Foundation Japan
The foundation was created in June 2009 after the Jackson Family Foundation of 1992. Jackson Family Foundation Japan is to carry out its own actions based on data from Michael’s philanthropic activities during his lifetime.
The Jackson Family Foundation Japan (located in Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Kenji Koga; hereafter “JFFJ”); and the NFT Naruto Art Museum (located in Naruto City, Tokushima Prefecture; CEO: Taisei Yamaguchi; hereafter “NFT Naruto Art Museum”); have signed an exclusive agreement for the NFT and Metaverse rights to MJWWT “Michael Jackson Wonder World Toys”
The NFT Naruto Museum of Art changed its name from “Naruto Galle Forest Museum” to “Naruto Naruto Museum of Art” on March 1, 2022. It was the first museum in Japan to deal with “NFT.” It is the first NFT museum in Japan that focuses on publishing, analyzing, selling (primary sales), and distributing (secondary sales) NFTs that have to do with art and artwork.
The roots of the Jackson family Foundation, which was started by Michael Jackson’s parents, have an official branch in Japan. This branch is a charity that doesn’t make any money.
The MJWWT project is a story about how Michael Jackson came up with a plan for an entertainment center to help poor children around the world in December 1992, while he was passionately talking about the idea with KENJI KOGA.
We will use the drawings he made before he died to bring back to life in NFT and Metaverse the message he wanted to send to the world.
The MJWWT NFT and Metaverse project was started with the help of the JFF and JFFJ (Jackson Family Foundation Japan).
The NFT Naruto Museum of Art will work with JFF and JFFJ to create museum DAO, also called museum 3.0. This will connect museums all over the world by going beyond the ideas of “country” and “time” to connect with the past.
Michael Jackson Wonder World Toys will be whitelisted in the NFT MUSEUM MEMBERS folder. This will let them take advantage of MUSEUM DAO and NFT buying priority, exhibits, and discounts. On Twitter, Instagram, and Discord, there will be news about whitelisting and other events.
People who own Michael Jackson Wonder World Toys will get priority access to the MJWWT Metaverse, which is expected to be finished on the Metaverse next year. They will also get a listing on the MJWWT website, which is expected to open by the end of the year, and priority tickets to events.
It seems that fans are quicker to pick up new technologies and trends to move Michael Jackson name and brand to a new era. The Estate has serious catch-up to do!
