Les Fo’Plafonds are a group of musicians from France who perform with items you wouldn’t normally expect to see used as musical instruments… they make a great sound though.
Their name “Les Fo’Plafonds”, which roughly translates into “The False Ceilings”. “Fo” is a slang way of saying “faux”, which is French for false.
They tackled the ’84 hit by trading in instruments with everyday items. What constitutes an everyday item? Well, pipes, random kitchen appliances, water guns, heck, even a vacuum cleaner!
Initially uploaded during Halloween 2020, a video has recently gained added attention, racking up nearly one million views after being featured on the Facebook group, The Music Man, which caused Ghostbusters fans to fill up our inbox with the unconventional yet entertaining cover.
The video and song is a mach-up between “Ghostbusters” and Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”.
And it is funny, entertaining and very clever way to re-invent “Thriller”.
As the “Ghostbusters” fans have already picked up the video and made it to nearly a million view, it’s our turn to show some love and appreciation, don’t you think?

Not to mention, their last tour poster shows the group coming out of a wall and if you look closely, there is written “Michael Jackson – Off The Wall” in the left side. One member is wearing a Letterman Jacket like in “Thriller” video, and another one, a “Beat It” Jacket. Clearly the group are Michael Jackson fans!
