If you do not know OnMJFootsteps, a blog by Rachel, a French fan of Michael Jackson, we really recommend it. Rachel has created an unique platform where fans can find amazing information about the King of Pop, his music, artistry and locations where Michael went.
During her numerous trips around the world, Neverland Ranch is always in her calendar. She went to Michael’s former home at the end of October and in her new entry, she described that she was able to talk to few staff members of the ranch.
She first talked to the security person at the gate who confirmed to her that the ranch has been completely restored for the upcoming biopic, including all the rides which some of them are the originals placed by Michael and the zoo. “But no giraffe, tiger or elephant,” he said. “They’ve done it really right and a lot of money has been invested.”
He also confirmed that the delay of filming was due to the strike of actors in Hollywood.
She also asked if fans would ever be able to enter the property and he said: “I don’t know. Not so much that there’s this biopic project. But with all the money invested, maybe they’ll consider doing something about it afterwards….”
The next day she also met one of the gardeners who worked at the property for over 40 years. He told Rachel the following story:
“He had just bought the ranch, he was wearing a red shirt, black pants and his black hat and we went around. He asked me if I had a tractor. I said yes. ‘I would like you to dig a great circle for me here.’ It was for the carousel. He knew what he wanted. He told me: ‘There will be The Spider, there will be the Ferris wheel, …’ I thought, ‘This man is crazy!’ (laughs). But he did everything he said. The station didn’t exist and he had it built after that as well, along with other stations on the ranch.”
Thank you Rachel for this.
