After Bigi Jackson stated in court that he doesn’t think the Estate should pay for Katherine Jackson’s appear to the “secret” deal (MIJAC sold to Sony), Katherine Jackson is fighting back on the comment and against the Estate refusing to pay for her legal team.
In her newly filed motion, Katherine said despite the executors’ claims her petition did identify the source from which the requested payment should be made.
Her lawyer added, “It seems clear to her that the Executors are holding all of the assets in the Estate in order to keep control over them, and to avoid the more liberal distribution requirements of the Trust.”
In addition, Katherine argued the estate is “currently holding something in the range of $1.5 billion.” She said, “this vastly exceeds its potential liabilities and leaves hundreds of millions of dollars available for the remainder beneficiaries.”
She claimed the executors cannot “in good faith contend that the Estate does not have sufficient funds to allow the Trust to make the request payment.”
The judge has yet to rule.
I know Michael left his mother a substantial amount of money, why can’t she pay her own legal fees?
Seems to me she is just greedy, wants to keep her money and use the estate’s money for her own greedy endeavors.
I believe that Bigi is right. It should NOOestate’s responsibility NO MATTER HOW MUCH MONEY is in it!!! SHE IS A GREEDY, GREEDY person who should spend her owe money for problems that only she created!!!

Can i just remind you all this started due to secretive and deceitful behaviour of Branco and McCain talking to Sony without consenting permission of the heirs of Michaels estate first. Katherine is right to be angry at the way they have secretly gotten this deal almost done without consulting all the beneficial heirs properly. If the executors have a problem with Katherine, they started this battle not Katherine. Katherine is standing up for what is right and everything her son Michael worked so hard for. As for who pays that a decision to be made by a judge who isn’t biased towards the estate but neutral to both sides. The estate think they always know what’s best for Michael’s kids instead of listening to them and respecting their opinions. Branco and McCain need to remember they work FOR the estate , they are not the reason it exists.
