The American rapper, record executive and hip-hop mogul Rick Ross has teamed up with Julien’s Auctions to auction off his personal collection of street and contemporary art, clothing, music memorabilia and other stuff with all proceeds to benefit the “Boss Up Grant“, a program helping new entrepreneurs to have access to credit and capitals.
While fans of the rapper will be amazed to own one of his 300 rare sneakers including 150 pairs of Air Jordans, Michael Jackson might be surprised to find few things they might like!
The rapper has few Michael Jackson memorabilia such as a sealed Michael Jackson BAD25 LP, a sealed Michael Jackson ONE Light-up Glove from Cirque du Soleil or even a Thriller25 Promo display. (all estimated between $100 and $300)
But two items got our attention. The first one is a 1866 William Knabe & Co grand Piano themed after Michael Jackson “Thriller“. The art piano is estimated between £2,000 and $3,000.
The second is an actual limited edition print from Mr Brainwash which is also signed. The 35.5×35.5 inches limited to 65 copies is estimated between $800 and $1,200.
Who knew Rick Ross was a fan!
The two-day auction starts June 25 at 10 a.m. PT.
Bidding is available online at Julien’s Auctions, in-person in Los Angeles or over the phone by calling 310-836-1818.
