Propstore new auction has more Michael Jackson items

As announced last September, Propstore is to auction few Michael Jackson items on Friday November 15.

Few of those items where at Kingvention just days ago and fans attended the event were lucky enough to be close and personal with those items.

The full catalogue of items has been since released and here some highlights:

A commercial storyboard sets of Pepsi’s “The Chase”, draw by Ralph McQuarrie will be available to grab, estimated between £2,000 and £4,000.

Another cool jacket from the King of Pop is also to grab. This one was owned by Omar Bhatti and you might recognised from the interview with Lisa Marie Presley on ABC with Diane Sawyer on 14 June 1995. Estimated between £200,000 – £400,000.

A custom-made, one-of-a-kind Sailors college varsity jacket previously owned and worn by Michael Jackson. The pop icon was photographed and filmed wearing the jacket on June 18, 1993, during a visit to a children’s hospital in Washington, where he spent hours interacting with patients. This jacket comes from the personal collection of Norwegian rapper and dancer Omer Bhatti, to whom Jackson personally gifted it at his Neverland Ranch in the early 2000s.

Known for his unique fashion sense, Jackson frequently incorporated varsity jackets into his signature wardrobe. He shared with Bhatti that Shizuka Miura, owner of the Japanese brand Sailors, had designed this particular jacket for him, tailoring it to his personal preferences. The jacket featured Jackson’s favorite colors, red and black, and stood out among the others due to its distinct customization—it was the only one with “Michael” embroidered on the back, making it especially personal. In 2019, Sailors launched a limited edition line of replica jackets based on this design, sold exclusively in Japan as a tribute to the music legend.

A pair of leather boots once owned and worn by Michael Jackson. The “King of Pop” frequently wore this style of boots as part of his everyday attire and during public appearances in the late 1990s and early 2000s. This pair comes from the personal collection of Norwegian rapper and dancer Omer Bhatti, who received them as a personal gift from Jackson.

The boots, designed by Stamati Mastroianni, are crafted from soft black leather and feature a small block heel with a zip on one side. They are marked size “9 1/2 M.” The black leather shows light creasing, and the brown soles bear signs of scuffing and wear from use. This lot includes a letter of authenticity from Bhatti.

The next one, we saw it going on Auction before but you will recognise it:

A black leather bracer adorned with silver-colored metal studs and grommets. Six individual straps run along the length of the guard, with small finger straps attached to the hand section. The interior of the bracer is marked with “JS” in white ink, while the inside of the fifth strap is labeled “#1” in silver-colored pen. Some areas of the bracer show signs of fragility.

A shirt and pair of trousers from Michael Jackson’s personal wardrobe, originally part of the collection belonging to his costume designers, Michael Bush and Dennis Tompkins, which were auctioned in 2012.

The red cotton-blend shirt was designed for Jackson’s LA Gear ad campaign but was ultimately not worn during the shoot. It features a black armband and silver ball-chain detailing along the front yoke, collar, and cuffs. Inside the shirt are sewn labels for Dennis Tompkins and Michael Bush.

The black cotton trousers are identical to those worn by Jackson in the Bad Era Pepsi commercial and were purchased at the Los Angeles store Retail Slut. The trousers are decorated with zippers, D-rings, and nylon webbing straps. Both pieces are labeled “Dry Clean Only.” The shirt has minor marks, particularly on the button placket, and some stitching on the inside leg seam of the trousers has come undone.
