It is always sad to see a story ending, especially when it is a fan project.
We have seen over the years many forums, fanclubs and fan magazines ending their activities. This time is MJBACKSTAGE magazine, a Belgium endeavor started in 1993 and focusing on all the Jackson Family.
They have just announced that their latest issue (#31) will be the last due to the lack of interest from the fans and the digital world taking over. In an email sent to their subscribers, they explained that they can no longer support financially the print version of their magazines and they will therefore focus on a digital web through their website.
MJBACKSTAGE was at one point the only French speaking magazine focusing on Michael Jackson and his family. MJBACKSTAGE was inspired by the so famous French Fan Magazine “Black & White” which also closed doors at the end of the 90s (only one last issue was released in 2009 as a tribute issue to the King of Pop).
The Last Issue will have interviews with Bruce Swedien, Brad Sundberg, Lavelle Smith, Taj, Taryll and TJ Jackson with other articles. Check out the cover:
MJVIBE & Iconic Magazine wish a beautiful farewell to our Belgium friends and all the best in their new digital endeavor!
