After the fire fighters, the police goes all Thriller!

SOUTH Yorkshire police swapped the mean streets for the dance floor to perform Michael Jackson’s hit Thriller in aid of raising awareness for people to have a ‘safe’ Halloween.

These local officers in South Yorkshire proved they can do more than just fight crime this week.

Taking time out of their busy schedule, these coppers showed they can step up to a challenge as they performed an intense dance routine to hit Thriller.

Warning “South Yorkshire beware, you’re in for a scare”, the video kicked off with officers sitting while chatting at a table.

But as soon as the music to Michael Jackson’s hit played, they got off on their feet to perform a near step-perfect rendition.

Proving they have moves, the bobbies wowed viewers as they danced the iconic zombie scene.

The fun two-minute long clip ended with the message: “have a safe Halloween and bonfire night from all at South Yorkshire Police.”

The force picked the classic Michael Jackson track as part of the #runningman video challenge.

Sharing the clip on their Facebook page, they said: “Our officers and staff are well on the beat in this Thriller #runningman video … which force will take on the challenge next?”

They then went on to egg fellow emergency services Humberside Police and South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue to join in the fun too.

But it seems their efforts have impressed users on social networking site Facebook.

Joe Luke Beardsall said: “This has made my week! Great moves guys!

While Melonie Pickering said: “The fella at the front has reduced me to fits of giggles… thanks everyone, that’s brightened the day up.”
