TEA screens ‘Another part of me’, the new documentary by Tenerife filmmaker Iván López
The documentary showcases the story of Gustavo Hernández aka Gus Jackson, a Tenerife Michael Jackson Impersonator, and will be screened this Thursday at 18:00 pm.
Born in Ingenio (Gran Canaria), Gustavo Hernández began working in the late nineties as an imitator of the King of Pop and since then he has made this work his philosophy of life. The documentary approaches Gustavo’s day-to-day life and his efforts to achieve his dreams as a teenager, while deepening his relationship with fans around the world and showing how his work has become an influence and inspiration for thousands of people as Michael Jackson himself achieved in life. The film also follow Gus who goes around places that Michael Jackson visited in 1993.
The press release proclaims Gus Jackson is the best Michael Jackson impersonator in Europe and the second worldwide. As per our annual MJVibe’s #1 Michael Jackson Impersonator poll, we know that most of Impersonators are claiming this title. But if you are into self-glorification documentary, this one is for you.
And here the trailer which artistically is cool but doesn’t give much of the content of the documentary:
Hello, first I want to thank you for putting this news on your website, it is really a great honor for me.
Then I wanted to explain to you that I do not proclaim myself the best imitator in Europe, in 2018 I was chosen by MJ fans on your website as second place.
The director of the documentary simply echoes that.
From my humility I can only thank MJ for allowing me to be a tool for new generations to discover his legacy and for fans from all over the world to continue dreaming about him. long live the king!!
