Brownstone’s debut album 30th Anniversary re-issue vinyl

Some of you might not know this, but Michael Jackson created his own music label in 1993. Although the label was founded by Michael, it was owned by Sony Music Entertainment and distributed by Epic Records. The label, named MJJ Music, operated until Michael folded it in 2001.

During its relatively short existence, the label brought us incredible talent, including members of Michael’s own family. Tito Jackson’s three sons—Taj, Taryll, and TJ—formed the group 3T and signed under MJJ Music, as did Rebbie Jackson, who released music featuring the iconic “toes” logo on their albums.

Other artists who signed with the label included Tatyana Ali, The Jason Bonham Band, Men of Vision, No Authority, and Brownstone.

Now, Brownstone is set to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their first album, From the Bottom Up (originally released in 1995). The re-release will be handled by Sony Commercial Music Group (Sony CMG), the strategic marketing arm of Sony Music Entertainment UK, which specializes in catalog releases and multi-artist compilations.

Although this isn’t directly a Michael Jackson release, back in the day, seeing the “toes” logo on an album cover made it a must-have for many fans. This re-release is sure to bring back a wave of nostalgia!

You can purchase the album on Amazon US and Amazon UK.
