Silk Sonic is made up of solo stars Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak, who met while touring together in Europe in 2017 on Mars’ 24K Magic World Tour.
The anticipated debut album has arrived called “An Evening with Silk Sonic” and has already reached great reviews.
In the 7th track of the album called “777”, Mars and .Paak are paying tribute to Michael Jackson with the following lyrics:
“Stacks on stacks (Stacks), racks on racks (Racks)
Moonwalk to the money like I’m Mike Jack
Yes, I’m faded, pupils dilated
But the man in the mirror sayin’, “Go on, get your paper””
While the track refers to Las Vegas gambling number 777 (and as per the rest of the lyrics), many Michael Jackson fans also connected the number to the Michael Jackson armband with the same number.
While this is not confirmed by both artists, the shout-out and tribute to the King of Pop is a nice touch.
