At MJVibe, we often let you know how Bubbles is doing and how to support the Center for Great Apes. As June 25 just passed, we often see pictures of Michael with Bubble and it is the perfect moment to check on him.
By the way, we are not sure of Bubbles age as the Center celebrates his Birthday in March and estimated he was born in 1983 making him 41 but some say he might be closer to 50 which is very old for a chimp.
But Bubbles is still doing good, he is very content and indulges in activities such as enjoying tunnels, building nests under trees, dabbling in painting (which we often tell you about) and taking midday naps. He is also maintaining friendly interactions with other tenants and human visitors including his vet! But still does not like photos so don’t even try!
Patti Ragan, Founding Director of the Center, also said they occasionally plays Michael’s music and videos for Bubbles but in the later years, he seems unfazed by these and Patti mentioned “Bubbles may have slowly faded older memories due to age since he was only a toddler when MJ took him in”
