You may remember so time ago it was reported that Michael had been planning a musical around the life of poet Robert Burns? In case you missed the news, it was reported in June last year that David Gest was to revive plans originally outlined by the King of Pop for the musical. Gest had discovered he still had the songs written by Michael and decided to make the dream a stage reality.
It’s been announced today that David Gest has decided to pull out of the musical and his cameo role of Tam O’Shanter, leaving the project behind due to filming commitments. A Statement reads
“David would like to wish the rest of the cast every success with the production and is looking forward to appearing with you at a later stage in the production.”
Writer, composer and producer Tish Tindall has since worked to bring the production to the public with it’s showing on January 25th.
