We all know Marcos Cabota who directed the documentary about Bruce Swedien “Sonic Fantasy”.
A short film of around 14min has been directed by Joan Bover which is a reflection on Michael Jackson from Cabota called “Dear Michael”:
“10 years after the death of Michael Jackson, the filmmaker Marcos Cabotá, decides to write him a letter with all the things he could not tell him in life. Cabotá has been a fan of Michael Jackson since he was a child and He is one of the small group of people he met in person the king of pop. Dear Michael is a reflection on one of the greatest figures that
music and singing has ever given to all the good things he conveyed to millions of people, beyond the controversies that continue to surround him.”
Both “Dear Michael” and “Sonic Fantasy” won an award this week-end at the In-Edit Festival with respectively “Best Documentary Short” and “Best National Documentary” in Spain.
