Dylan Kuehl, 33 year-old American drummer with Down Syndrome, will take his band Michael Jackson Memory Band on a world tour to create more awareness about his disability.
His disability, for him, was anything but an obstacle – but rather a starting point for realizing his dream. Demonstrating to everyone in the small town where he was born, Olympia (Washington), that they were wrong if they thought that he’d be happy just staying home.
In fact, not only is he an excellent musician, but he is also a dancer, expert in martial arts, and owner of a visual arts business. But the project which is closes to his heart is his band, with which he will soon bring the King of Pop’s songs around the world. “I hope that people will be able to go further than external appearance to see what I have inside”, he proclaimed
His personal mission and that of the band, is to ‘Heal the World with Music and Dance’ , to advocate and bring awareness to the ABILITIES of people with disabilities, and for them to feel INCLUDED and be seen as VALUED members of the community
