Johan Vlemmix, an eccentric Dutch entrepreneur and singer from Eindhoven, has voiced his interest to get the HIStory Statue that used to be at the McDonald carpark in Best, Netherlands.
As you know, the current owner of the statue, Peter van Gelder, is still looking for a new home for the promotional statue. The news got the attention of Vlemmix which publicly told local press he wants it.
But who is Johan Vlemmix, real name Johannes Cornelis Wilhelmus Maria Vlemmix?
Vlemmix became known for his participation to a TV program called “On Land, at Sea and in the Air” where participants have to build their own machinery to go the above. He became later a judge on this program that ended in 2010.
the 64 years old man also created a fan club for Emily Bremers who at the time was in a relationship with Dutch Prince Willem-Alexander.
In 2002, 2003 and 2012, he tried to get to politics with “The Party” but failed to secure any seats in the parliament.
To add to his ‘talent’, he also released over a dozen singles from 2001 to 2013.
He built a luxurious country house in Eindhoven with marble floors, gold taps and ceilings panting like in the Sistine Chapel, where he lives.
In 2016, he decided to do a replica of the White House in Eindhoven.
During Covid, in 2020, he broke the world record for applauding for 4 hours and dedicated his record to everyone who works in the healthcare system.
In addition to the madness, he also participate to the TV program “First Date”, he made a campaign song for former US president Trump, created a self-service cafe during Covid and organised Carnivals.
In 2022, he bought an old observatory for €1 Million, where he would like to place a nuclear bunker.
Vlemmix is developing a ‘nuclear centre’ there. “With a museum, a training center and earthquake-resistant houses.” Why? “We in the Netherlands are ill-prepared for everything. You saw that with corona, you notice that now Russia Ukraine has invaded. There are nuclear cellars and contingency plans everywhere, but not in the Netherlands.”
And now he would like to get the Michael Jackson HIStory Statue to be placed on the same ground.
When asked what was the relation, he replied: “What is the link? None, but the McDonald’s didn’t have one either,”
“I have 17,000 square meters at my disposal. Plenty of space for Michael Jackson and plenty of opportunity to visit the statue.”
Nothing has been confirmed yet and Peter van Gelder did not confirmed or denied he will pass on the Michael Jackson Statue to Vlemmix. The only conditions from van Gelder is that the statue is public accessible, in a nice setting and stays in the Neverlands.
