As a child, Michael Jackson founded the popular band “The Jackson Five” together with his brothers in the 1970s. He achieved his meteoric rise to the top of pop music as a solo artist in 1982 with the release of the recording “Thriller”, the world’s best-selling album to date. Estimates range from 65 million to 110 million copies sold. Seven singles became top ten hits. The 16-minute video of “Thriller” was a world first at the time, Michael conquered MTV and established the mini-blockbuster in the pop sector. He also had huge success with the albums “Off the Wall” (1979), “Bad” (1987), “Dangerous” (1991), “HIStory” (1995) and “Invincible” (2001). His mega hits and his breathtaking dance style with the incomparable “Moonwalk” made him one of the most influential pop stars.
