Since “Michael Jackson: On The Wall“, we keep a close eye on the world of the Arts.
Few months ago, we shared with you Ghana’s young artist MIDICHI who created paintings of Michael Jackson.
Today, we discovered an artist from Belgium called “DDA”. We came accross him as he is selling one of his art to a charitable cause: A(C)RT FOR BEIRUT.
The explosion on August 4 which devastated Beirut claimed the lives of many but now, Beirut needs financial support and A(C)RT FOR BEIRUT is selling art with all benefits going to provide direct financial support to the people of Beirut.
One of those artist who gave an artwork to sell is DDA and the portrait is of Fairouz, a famous singer from Liban.
What is this to do with Michael Jackson you may ask?
well, first of all, DDA is creating portraits of music icons around the globe from… vinyls! Clever isn’t it? Each artist’s portrait is created from their own vinyls cut to create a perfect representation of the artist.
With a bit of research, DDA has created many portrait with this technique: James Brown, Janis Joplin, Lenny Kravitz, U2, Bruno Mars and … of course Michael Jackson!
Not only we discover a new artist we did not know, we also are able to share a great cause but also share with the fans this amazing Michael Jackson! 3 in 1!
What an amazing idea and artwork!
