Let’s meet French artist Patrice Murciano from the city of Monpellier, in the south of France.
Patrice has had ups and downs throughout his life to a point where he was homeless sleeping in his car, trying to make a living of his paintings.
One day in 2010, he painted Michael Jackson that he admires very much. The painting was on display in a pizza restaurant and a fan bought it for €500. The Michael Jackson went beyond kindness and offered a roof to Patrice.
Patrice never forgot this act of kindness which is also linked to Michael Jackson. He went to create more paintings and one day he made a mistake by splashing some colours to his on going painting and by trying to clean it, he saw a new way to paint which he named “New Pop”.
The rest is history as Patrice is now a well-known artist and his painting goes for thousands of Euros.
Here some of his MJ related artistry:
He is also releasing a book with some of his arts and he selected a Michael Jackson’s imagery for the cover and Dieter Wesner wrote the foreword for the occasion.
You can follow Patrice on Instagram, Facebook and also check his website where some of the arts representing Michael Jackson are on sale.
Also a big thank you to MJFrance for sharing this incredible artist!
