Michael Jackson Hungarian Fan Balazs Nagy, known for his extensive collection of the King of Pop’s personal items and for launching an exhibition in Budapest in 2022, with another coming in October 2025, has unveiled his latest project: Collectors’ Chance.
This unique initiative offers fans the opportunity to win exclusive memorabilia through a prize draw. Under Auction Memorabilia Ltd, a UK-registered company owned by Nagy, Collectors’ Chance has introduced a limited-edition trading card featuring a piece of Michael Jackson’s legendary glove. This particular glove was worn by Jackson on March 28, 1985, at the unveiling of his wax figure at Madame Tussauds in London.
A total of 177 cards will be available, divided into three tiers:
- 100 Silver Editions
- 70 Gold Editions
- 7 Hologram Editions
Much like Panini’s official 2011 release, these cards will incorporate two Swarovski crystals extracted from the iconic glove. Given Nagy’s reputation as an avid collector of Michael Jackson’s stage and personal items from various auctions, it is highly likely that this glove fragment is authentic.
However, just as in 2011, the question remains: should pieces of history be cut up for collectibles?
After the article was published, Nagy contacted MJVibe to inform us that, due to the glove not being kept in good condition, it was severely damaged. As a result, the only solution was to cut it into pieces and insert them into trading cards, allowing fans to own a piece of history.
Regardless, for those eager to own a piece of Michael Jackson’s legacy, those cards will be available for purchase starting April 4 at Collectors’ Chance and on ebay.
