Fans have started a new campaign for Halloween to try to get the Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” short film to a billion view on YouTube.
The campaign will start on September 15 and end on October 31 and fans are hoping to get the video to 1 Billion view by Halloween.
Fans have created a playlist to kick off the campaign (QR Code) and also have distributed flyers in Las Vegas, giving them to key people like Prince Jackson.
“Thriller” short film is currently at 928,472,297 views behind “Beat It” and could be the 3 Michael Jackson Short film to enter the YouTube Billion Club!
The campaign will be using #1Billion4Thriller
Fans have tried to do the same with “Billie Jean” and despite it took longer than they planned, the short film did manage to get to a Billion. This time, the target is lower than the one set for “Billie Jean” so it is more than possible that the landmark will hit before Halloween.
