Neverland Wave Slinger
It’s here, the 2014 Tulare County Fair!
Volunteers have been working countless hours in the past weeks readying the grounds and hauling in the food, games, rides, souvenirs, animals and so much more so that, once again, we can enjoy a memorable county fair.
Those number of volunteers this year spiked when the state funding was cut, so this time we all likely know someone who literally had a hand in helping put on this year’s fair.
Who doesn’t love a ride? And the fair will have plenty of them.
The “Big Splash” will make its West Coast debut at the Tulare County Fair. The ride will cover more than two football fields of water-filled track. It has two drops of over 30 feet and a “Big Splash” finale.
The Wave Swinger that was once a staple at Michael Jackson’s Neverland Valley Ranch will return, along with a completely refurbished Zipper ride.

Another addition is the award-winning Cub Country, where all rides are designed for those under 38 inches tall.
Cub Country will be adjacent to Kiddie Land, for children who are older but not yet ready for the fast and furious rides of the adult carnival.
A total of 40 rides will be available, offering something for fair goers of all ages.
Hours: 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday
Kids tickets are $5; adults are $8, with senior citizens able to attend for the children’s price on Friday.
Attractions still require tickets or a wristband to enter. Wristbands, which allow unlimited entrance to most attractions for one day, can also be purchased in advance at Walgreens for $20 or $30 at the fair.
Parking is available around the perimeter of the fairgrounds for $5 per car. Parking passes and admissions tickets can also be purchased in advance online at tcfair.org.
