He started his career in 1965 by following the Beatles in France after he heard on the radio that the group just landed in the country. Mario Gurrieri became quickly the photographer of the press for all pop and rock music and became well known among the stars for taking live pictures and public appearances.
Mario took pictures of French singers but also internationals like Justin Timberlake, the Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Lady Gaga, Madonna and of course Michael Jackson. The list is long!
His pictures were often used in the press when artists were touring in the country. And made those who couldn’t go to see the shows dream and see their fav artists on paper.
