Exciting news for fans of MJ The Musical! Jamaal Fields-Green is set to take over the role of Michael Jackson in the London production at the Prince Edward Theatre starting January 14, 2025, following Myles Frost’s final performance on January 11.
Jamaal is no stranger to this iconic role—he’s played it in every current production of MJ, from Broadway to the US national tour, and even in London. Earlier this year, he stepped in to save the day in the West End when Frost was unable to perform, and now he’s coming back for good.
Reflecting on his return to London, Jamaal shared: “I’m deeply humbled and honoured to have the opportunity to perform in this show and role here in London. Ever since I made my debut in the West End earlier this year, something in the city has been calling me back. London – I’m excited to share my artistry and make some magic with you in this beautiful city. I hope to see you at the theatre, I promise you’re not going to want to miss it. Let’s party!”
If that wasn’t enough, the show’s West End run has been extended and is now booking until September 13, 2025.
Myles Frost has been performing as Michael Jackson in MJ, but now he’s preparing to return home to Maryland and the United States to focus on his next steps. He’s expressed a desire to be closer to his family and leave his time in the show behind as he looks ahead to future opportunities.
