We all know the 5 Funko Pop! little figurines that came out in 2011 under Bravado’s licensing deal with the Michael Jackson Estate, the same company that did all the merch for THIS IS IT, negociated few deals for the Estate with different companies around the world.
One of them is Funko who created 5 little amazing figurines that are now going for over £200 each second hand and has not produced those items since 2013!
However, the Estate found out that the company was still using Michael Jackson imagery on their company website when the deal was only for 2 years (ended in 2013) so the attorneys for the Estate noticed Funko.
Funko agreed to pull the images of the MJ Figurines out and the Estate is satisfied.
Shame as we would have loved to see more MJ Funko Pop! like a “Remember The Time” or a “scream” one with Janet!
