On June 25, 2024, Glendale Mayor Elen Asatryan issued a letter to Michael Jackson fans, declaring the day Michael Jackson Remembrance Day.
Glendale is home to Forest Lawn, the final resting place of Michael Jackson. Each year on June 25, hundreds of fans gather at Forest Lawn to pay homage to the King of Pop.
In her letter, Mayor Asatryan expressed gratitude to the fans who visit annually and looks forward to welcoming them back every year.
