“Guess Who Performed That Night”: Michael Jackson in Tenerife

We already talked about how Michael Jackson’s concert that revolutionized Tenerife and turned 30 few days ago.

To celebrate this key point of the island, TV channel “Television Canaria” released a documentary.

The 47 minutes documentary is a celebration of Michael Jackson’s concert in Santa Cruz de Tenerife on September 26, 1993.

This journalistic work collects the testimonies and impressions of those who were promoters of the event, from public officials to music promoters, through the media spokesmen who recounted day by day the process and success of an initiative that brought together 50,000 spectators on the esplanade of the port of the capital of Tenerife.

It talks about the difficulties to bring the superstar into the island and all those involved to make it happen with interviews from those who organised, planned, and were around Michael Jackson during his stay in Tenerife.

Guess Who Acted That Night is a documentary by R2 Media Films and has been directed by Juan Manuel Bethencourt, with Raúl Pulido in charge of the realization and Raúl Marrero as producer. It was also broadcasted by Televisión Canaria, coinciding with the thirtieth anniversary of the concert and now on YouTube:
