Friday 16, HBO filed a motion for dismissal in an attempt to push the court to toss the $100 million lawsuit with the Michael Jackson Estate
HBO claims that the Estate’s lawsuit violates the First Amendment, Due Process Clause and Public Policy.

Will the Estate be able to counter-attack this motion? The next hearing is scheduled for September 19.
The stuff about the contract having ‘expired’ and not being about Leaving Neverland is irrelevant given that the agreement was an ‘in perpetuity’ clause, and they should still be bound by that. This First Amendment /freedom of speech claim is an abuse of those who fight for true freedom of speech in terms of being able to speak out about matters for which they have demonstrable evidence. There is no attempt to shut down editorial opinion here, because Leaving Neverland claims their information to be ‘factual’ (even though it obviously isn’t). If their motion is accepted by the Judge this will be a gross abuse of the law.
Seems as if someone’s back peddling and trying to scare the Estate into thinking they actually have grounds to stand on.PUSH on Estate, somethings not right in the milk.HBO knows they’ll be found liable with all the lies exposed and debunked in their dirty little 4hour film.Justice for Michael…#Michaelisinnocent
So true! That’s what I thought,,sounds like bullying on the Estate is going on!
They will not get away with it this time contract is a contract and the judge knows that they cant hide behind a law after they signed the contract they knew about the 1st ametment before they signed this contract i bet the judge will toss them
