In Nuremberg, some items from the “King of Pop” are currently being auctioned. Among other things, sunglasses, badges and trousers from Michael Jackson will go under the hammer. Bidding will run until 16 October.
Among them is a diary in which handwritten notes of the singer are supposed to be, as well as items of clothing and accessories. According to the auction house “Restlos.com”, based in Nuremberg, the objects currently offered for sale come from a past auction of the US auction house “Rich Penn” in May 2021.
According to Restlos.com, all of Michael Jackson’s items come “from private ownership in southern Germany”. Under the Facebook post announcing the auctions, there are mainly doubts about the authenticity of the objects. However, the auction house commented that “there are guarantees of origin for each piece, which can be consulted during a viewing appointment”. In addition, the paths of the collectibles from the USA through the Rich Penn auction from 2021 can be traced to the auction catalogues and the bids.
