Some people cannot control their tongues! Jay-Z is one of them! This is not the first time that rapper Jay-Z is in trouble with the Michael Jackson fans for unnecessary comparison comments.
During his appearance in a Twitter Space hosted by Alicia Keys – which the singer launched to promote her recent eighth album, ‘KEYS’ – Jay-Z made a comparison between his wife, Beyoncé, and Michael Jackson.
“Bey’s gonna be mad at this for saying this but Michael Jackson never had a Coachella,”
“She’s an evolution of him because she watched him at 9. And the kids are the same,” he added.
“Find me a concert that’s as culturally relevant and thrilling as Coachella,” he urged. “Beyoncé is gonna be one of the best singers we ever heard because she is such a student.”
Fans were quick to react with comments such as:
“I Love Beyoncé but don’t take it too far saying she’s better than Michael Jackson,”
“Respectfully Michael Jackson never needed anything like Coachella throughout his lifetime. Michael Jackson has had double the audience of anything Beyonce ever had. mj had people literally fainting and being transported on stretchers…no offense but MJ is unmatched,”
While Beyoncé already told people numerous times to stop comparing her to the King of Pop as she clearly admire and look up to him, we can only remind Jay-Z that both artists are completely different. Also every single Michael Jackson concert and appearance were an event on themselves with huge media coverage; and he did not need a line-up of other singers like at Coachella to be compared and crowned the best.
Also I would like to add that without Michael Jackson breaking the racial barriers in the mainstream platforms, Jay-Z, or Beyoncé for that matter, will not be as popular as they are today.
It is time to stop comparing artists or to look for the next King of Pop as there will always be only one King of Pop: Michael Jackson.
Beyonce is good. I like some of her music… But, come on, Michael Jackson conquered the world with all his solo albums from 1979 onwards. He conquered with the J5 years before that. And Thriller was beyond stratospheric. It was INTERSTELLAR. He remolded the music video into an art form in its own right. He did it all. Every single album release was an event all over the world. The Bad Tour broke attendance records. I am sorry but Beyonce will never attain the absolute brilliance that Michael Jackson reached. Noone will. At least not in my lifetime.

I cant stand when they do that….there is only one king….one greatest entertainer of all time…that is mj….there will never ever ever ever be anyone like mj.
