If you recall our Opinion Piece on Michael Jackson Estate new project, “King of Style”, the Estate teamed up with Michael Bush to create content around Michael Jackson’s fashion and influence in the industry and on other artists.
Bush and the Estate have been hand-in-hand since 2012 when Bush sold most of Michael Jackson costumes and personal items through Julien’s Auction and the whole “Fake” signatures drama. Branca wrote the foreword for Bush’s book released in the same year and some of the items have been pulled out of the auction to be “given” to the Estate such as the “Smooth Criminal” suit which is currently in display at MJ ONE in Las Vegas.
As we reported, two panel discussions have happened in Miami and New York.
Today, the Instagram page and TikTok page of KOS have announced that they will launch the project on Michael Jackson’s Official YouTube Channel. This will include the roundtables and topics that have been discussed such as “Fashion Music Influence” or “The Fedora Had A New Meaning”.
The launch is due on August 6, 6:30pm PST /9:30pm EST on Michael Jackson Official YouTube Channel.
While this can be interesting for some, I am sure fans would have preferred to see updated 4K versions of the Short films, unreleased videos of Michael’s rehearsals, interviews or unseen footage.
My feeling, as stated in the Opinion Piece, is that Michael is now fading in the background of the Estate, especially now those content will be on Michael’s official Youtube Channel – over the amazing short film he has created.
Bravo for your note….!!!
