Leftchannel, the digital agency behind “King of Style”‘s intro

As Michael Jackson fans, we love research and facts. So when the Estate of Michael Jackson creates a new project, our research brain switches on!

When the Estate started to do the “King of Style” roundtables, it was a blurry and mysterious project that intrigued us. Where that come from? why fans were not notified? why doing this instead of debunking the mocumentary? who is behind it? who is this for? so many questions that some found answers and some stayed aloof.

At MJVibe, we already went through the content, who this is for and why with our article “‘King of Style’ is not for us, Michael Jackson fans!” and our first review.

But we did not stop our research, just like with the new range of Merchandise that the Estate secretly released under an unknown and protected company. But this time we found more information on the people and companies involved in the “King of Style” project.

Content and media firm leftchannel, whose specialties include digital signage content solutions, has partnered with the King of Style fashion show hosted by designer June Ambrose to create an opening title sequence highlighting the pop icon’s musical and fashion legacy.

It is unknown how the Estate found and contacted Leftchannel but now we know who is responsible for the cool intro (maybe the only nice thing about the whole concept to be honest) and the logo. Clearly the brief they received from the Estate was “target fashion influencers”.
