Lil Nas X did it again! After the BET last year where the singer performed dressed as ancient Egyptian like in Michael Jackson’s ‘Remember The Time’ video and even doing part of the King of Pop routine, Lil Nas X is again channelling Michael Jackson with his outfits.
The rap star performed “Dead Right Now,” “Montero (Call Me by Your Name),” and “Industry Baby” with Jack Harlow.
Dressed in a cape, Nas X launched into the performance with “Dead Right Now.” As he transitioned to “Montero (Call Me By You Name),” the screens behind were covered in angry tweets and news footage about the song’s controversial video.
Nas returned in a sparkly crop top to dance and perform part of the song in front of a giant bust of himself. “Industry Baby” soon followed, with Nas in a third new outfit, this time channelling Michael Jackson with a black and sparkled military jacket. Jack Harlow joined for his verse and some choreography on the horn-laden track.
Nas was nominated in 5 categories but going home from Las Vegas with none of the little awards. But he arrived at the MGM Grand Garden arena with a white pearled jacket similar to one the King of Pop wore at the Grammys.
While the young artist hasn’t confirmed his inspiration and love for Michael Jackson, it is clear that the talented rapper his taking his looks from the Michael Jackson book!
