Psych moves in mysterious ways. Giants of the genre Tame Impala have recorded an impromptu cover, “fresh out of the oven” in their words, of Michael Jackson’s 1996 single ‘Stranger In Moscow’.
The cover keeps the dramatic, massive pop single nature of the ballad, rinsing everything in the traditional Kevin Parker-approved ghostly vocals and reverb-dripping synths. It’s huge.
