Magik is a Rock project which surges from the united efforts of two experienced musicians : guitarist/producer Manolo Arias ( Ñu, Niagara, Atlas, Arias, Barón Rojo, Iguana Tango, etc.) and British Gibraltarian vocalist Giles Keith Ramirez (H.O.T, Ghost, Reach).
From this union the idea of publishing a cover a month was born, “12 months, 12 versions”, under the title of “Covers In Isolation”. Through this concept they will offer their particular vision of classics from the 60s and 70s, always under their personal prism, whilst adapting it to their musical criteria.
One of those covers is the Jacksons’s ‘Blame It On The Boogie’.
“I still remember, as if it were yesterday, buying the album “Destiny” by The Jackson 5 in 1978. The video clip also looked on television and the theme that, for me, stood out most from that delivery was, without a doubt, “Blame It On The Boogie”, already with The voice of Michael Jackson in a more mature phase, “says Giles.
In “Blame It On The Boogie”, MAGIK has the collaboration of the incredible voice of Baol Bardot Bulsara vocalist of the Norwegian band TNT, in addition to participating in such outstanding musicals as: We Will Rock You, Forever King of Pop or Jesus Christ Superstar.
