The 23rd branch of the so famous museum has just opened on December 1st in New Delhi, India!
And of course the biggest star on the planet is part of the wax artworks that visitors can take selfies with!
To mark the India-UK Year of Culture in 2017, Merlin Entertainment has opened a new branch of the international wax museum, Madame Tussauds, in New Delhi.
The iconic Regal building in Connaught Place has been chosen as the location of the India’s very own the Madame Tussauds museum that will be spread over two floors with 50 life-like wax figures of celebrities from India and the world. The museum has waxworks of personalities from different fields such as; sports, Bollywood, history & leaders, Hollywood and music. This new attraction is part of a wider recreation and entertainment zone planned for the city, which is set to be bolstered by further amenities catering for tourists.
The UK-based Merlin Entertainment operates over 100 attractions, 15 hotels and six-holiday villages in 25 countries and across 4 continents and the company will waltz into the Indian market with the launch of Madame Tussauds in Delhi.
