You heard right! A Michael Jackson Holographic Concert will take place in Shanghai on December 21.
Thanks to some pretty impressive technology, you can watch as the MJ digital apparition moonwalks his way across the stage and performs some of his greatest hits. Think ‘Thriller,’ ‘Beat It’ and ‘Man in the Mirror,’ to name a few.
The Michael Jackson Come Back to the X Holographic Concert will take place on December 21 at the Mixing Room at the Mercedes-Benz Arena, No. 1200, EXPO Avenue, Pudong, Shanghai.
Not sure the Estate has approved this as we all know that China has a different point of view on Copy rights, Trademarks and licencing.
However, rules and regulations are changing in China and the Estate has already tackled this multi-million market with the 2012 and 2018 Pepsi deals.
ABG (holding company for the Michael Jackson License) has also been dealing with the Chinese market to bring forward a copyright regulation ending a huge bootleg market out in the country.
This concert happened last August but we couldn’t find any reviews or pictures from the show so we do not know the quality of the hologram or if it is a real Michael Jackson footage or again an impersonator. As soon as we can find more information, photos or reviews, we will keep you updated.
