After only few years on, the Michael Jackson monument in Mistelbach in Austria was already badly damaged and was in the verge to crumble.
Martina Kainz, the person behind erecting the statue in 2012, said the statue was damaged by the wind and bad weather over the years. “He would not have survived another winter”
Despite the statue was paid through donations since 2009, Martina has paid herself for the renovations.
This issue was done from water infiltration.
On another note, on August 29, Michael’s Birthday, from 3pm, a collection of plastic bottles is organised for the benefit of children with cancer at the statue area to celebrate the King of Pop!
