Yoshitomo Nara has gained widespread fame in the contemporary art world with his iconic paintings of the little young girl.
In 2009, he painted a portrait of Michael Jackson on canvas named “Acid M.J.”. Nara rarely names his works directly but this is the exception!
The painted was bought by the Collection of Elizabeth Blair and Michael Kelter from Michigan, USA back in 2009 and will be auctioned by Poly Auction Hong Kong on April 6, 2023 at 11am at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong.
The painting (80.4×65.2cm) is estimated to reach between $4.3 and $5.6 million.
