Three Michael Jackson waxworks have arrived in Beijing to take centre stage at Madame Tussauds. The trio have arrived in China as part of a world tour and will stay at the venue for three months.
General Manager of the branch, Wang Rui shared an untold story with the Chinese press :
“When Michael visited one of the Madame Tussauds in 1998, he fell in love with the clothes on his wax figure made by our designers. He immediately took off his own clothes, and exchanged them with the ones on the wax figure. The next day, he wore the wax figure’s clothes and went out.”
She also shared how there are 19 Michael Jackson waxworks in the Tussaud’s 20 locations around the world. Michael is second to only Queen Elizabeth II for the number of waxworks that are in circulation, thus providing further proof to the global love that continues to exist for the King of Pop.
