MJ Chart Data Week of January 02, 2021

I didn’t write an article last week as Christmas period got the best of me but I’m back and I got some updates for you guys.

I’d like to start with this year’s biggest update.

Michael Jackson has now earned new entry on the Billboard Hot 100 in each of the last 7 decades. First one being “I Want You Back” in 1969 and last one (this week) being “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town” at its highest peak #46.

Here is the full list of new MJ Hot 100 entries from last decade:

Hold My Hand – #39 (01/01/2011)
Love Never Felt So Good – #9 (05/31/2014)
Slave to The Rhythm – #45 (06/07/2014)
Don’t Matter to Me – #9 (07/14/2018)

Just go into more detail with “Santa Claus is Coming To Town” this were the numbers and potions on Spotify charts on December 26.

#9 in Australia – 350,621 streams
#23 in United States – 1,755,424 streams
#23 in Canada – 346,801 streams
#26 on Global Charts – 4,045,813 streams
#31 in United Kingdom – 711,108 streams
#31 in Ireland – 55,718 streams

And both The Jackson 5 & Michael Jackson had over 24 million monthly listeners.

While we’re talking Spotify heres another update.

Off The Wall (album) has now surpassed 600 million streams on Spotify. This is Michaels third album to achieve this.

Currently Michael Jackson has over 25 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
