MJ Chart Data Week of January 16, 2021

This year is looking bigger than ever for Michael in digital/streaming world. We started the year off with over 25 million monthly listeners on Spotify and that seems to be the new normal for Michael (and no it’s not because of Drake!!!), where previously all year-round average was 20 to 23 million. MJ is currently 94^th most popular artist on the platform and has over 17 million followers. That’s more than Cardi B, Lady Gaga, Sam Smith, Zayn & many more. Number Ones is charting higher than ever in the UK and it has spent almost 500 weeks on the uk official albums chart. As for physical sales, Thriller is leading in the US. Album is the second best-selling catalogue album in pure sales on this weeks Top Catalogue Albums chart with over 6,000 copies sold.
