MJ Charts Weekly on June 29, 2024

And here the last MJ Chart Weekly of June!

And the climb in the charts following the commemorations of his passing are not so great but still a strong result!

In the US, “Thriller” is at #108 in the Billboard Top 200 Albums, #34 in the Billboard Top 50 Album Sales, #41 in the Billboard Top 50 Catalogue Album and #21 in the Billboard Top 25 Vinyls.

Meanwhile, “The Essential Michael Jackson” is at #115 in the Billboard 200 Album and #47 in the Billboard Top 50 Catalogue Album.

The song “Billie Jean” lost 7 places in the Billboard Global 200 Tracks to end the week at #194 and gained 22 places in the Billboard Global 200 Tracks excluding the US to be at #179.

In the UK, “The Essential Michael Jackson” is pretty much at the same level as last week with #21 in the Top 100 Albums and #19 in the Top 100 Streaming Albums.

in the Official UK Charts Top 50 Music DVDs, “Moonwalker” is back by re-entering the chart at #10 and “Live At Wembley 1988” is at #29

In Ireland, “The Essential Michael Jackson” is at #44 in the Top 100 Albums.

In Belgium Flanders, “Thriller” is at #173 in the Top 200 Album Sales.

In the Netherlands, “Thriller” is at #93 in the Top 100 Album losing 7 places.

In Greece, “Thriller” lost 25 places to be at #57 in the Top 75 Albums.

In Poland, “Thriller” re-entered the Top 50 Vinyls at #32.

  1. Honestly, there hasn’t been much attention around MJ’s passing this year. Fans aren’t so active and the media was covering other stuff, mostly political. I think we can’t expect better chart positions before november. We can only hope that the biopic will be good and that pushes sales and streams next year.
