This has not been communicated or confirmed by the Estate of Michael Jackson or the Musical itself but the Broadway League has confirmed that all productions in New York will now be offering refunds and exchanges for performances through September 6.
Broadway shutdown on March 12 due to Coronavirus COVID-19 and was supposed to first re-open on April 12 then postponed to June 7 which did not affect the MJ Musical.
However, yesterday it was announced that all productions will be on hold until September 6 meaning MJ The Musical is now postponed as it was due to start in July.
“While all Broadway shows would love to resume performances as soon as possible, we need to ensure the health and well-being of everyone who comes to the theatre—behind the curtain and in front of it—before shows can return. The Broadway League’s membership is working in cooperation with the theatrical unions, government officials, and health experts to determine the safest ways to restart our industry,” said Broadway League President Charlotte St. Martin.
We recommend you contact your point of sale if you have tickets for MJ the Musical during that period.
